Other ways to connect with inspiration

Our inspirations are within us. Ever watched little kids play, they are so energetic and turned on. There are no worries, no stress and no future or past to brood about. Then the life happens and we start to lose touch with that great source of inspiration.  It has not really left anywhere but is waiting for us to recognize it again.  It is like the sunshine is always there but our eyes are not open. We have to find a way to open the eyes and sunshine of the inspirations would be shown.

Inspirational quotes are a great way to connect with the inspirations within. As they are brief, powerful and eloquent.  These words help us overcome the specific life situations by providing specific inspirations. But there are many other ways to get in touch with the inspiration within. Actually all these methods are only tools for our journey.  Here are some other ways that you can get in touch with the inspiration within-

  1. Get in touch with the nature - Just by being in nature rejuvenate you. We have all probably felt that by sitting by a stream or gazing at snow capped mountain peaks.  I love walking in nature and that is my favorite way to reconnect with myself.
  2. Spend more time with yourself- We are bombarded with media messages constantly. We spend so much time listening to other people’s opinions. But how much time do we spend with ourselves? Listening to ourselves, our true motives, desires and fears. Essentially we are listening to others too much there is not enough space for us mentally and psychologically. I try to spend some time with myself every evening. That is my time to let go of the any negativity  picked up during the day. It is also my time to dial down the busy hectic day and get back to ease and flow. I try to do it a little throughout the day but there is more time available during the evening and it just complete the day on a good note. This also clears my mind for the next day. After a good night sleep, I am ready to take on the world again J
  3. Know yourself and what makes you tick- If you do the first two things then you will start to know yourself better. You will build a relationship with yourself and know what makes you tick. What makes you happy and what you would rather avoid. You will be able to get back to your own source of inspirations and strengths when the chips are down. I keep my favorite music handy to help me recover anytime I am feeling emotionally down. I will also write down anything that bothers me and what needs to happen to change that situation. Most of the times the process of writing down itself helps. Also the things have a tendency to work out when you have clarity about what do you want. You may have your own list that makes you tick. Know your list of things that make you tick and act on them when needed.
  4. Take care of your body- I have heard- “A sound mind lives in a sound body”. By taking care of your body you increase your chances of success. As you can think clearly and make the most of your abilities. It sounds so simple but many of us forget these basics sometimes. If you neglect your body then you will have to pay all the more attention to it later on as it becomes unable to function or become sick. Listen to your body and what it is telling. Take short breaks and remember to breathe…
