3-Create an understanding of the situation: Find out as much as you can on your specific situation when you suspects. You may not all the information but you will get informed. Lack of information is biggest reason for fearing change. And fear of change is the biggest obstacle to managing change.

4-Make emergency and worst case scenario plans: Make emergency plans and the worst case scenarios. Look at all the options and see prepared for a worst case scenario. This is not about getting fearful or being afraid. Actually it is the opposite of that. Creating a plan simply provides a reassurance and frees your mind. 5-Create a level of comfort with change: Cultivate an attitude where change is a fact of life. Change will be present whether we like it or not. Facing it means being honest with yourself and admitting what is going on in your life.

2-Don’t project fear and past: Don’t assume that any big change is going to be bad. There could be many hidden opportunities that are presented as the part of the package. Don’t project fear and reach out of the past experiences. Sometimes the big changes provide us a way for a start a totally new and wonderful start in our lives.

3-Simplify and objectify: Don’t take more than you can bite. Even though the change may be huge and overwhelming, it doesn’t have to overwhelm you. Don’t add fuel to the fire by making panic decisions and adding more change on top of the existing changes that you are going through. The best way to do this is to look at the situation objectively. Postpone extra change and manage the pace of change. It becomes easier to look at the situation objectively if you write it down. Writing takes emotions out of the picture. And helps to focus on the essentials.

4-Take one bite at a time: Have a bigger plan but act with small steps at a time. Take one small step at a time. Move in the right direction with one step at a time. Once you have a firm grasp of the direction of your movement the bite sizes can be bigger. It is easier to focus on a small step at a time rather than trying to do too much at the same time. Moving too fast increase the risks and introduce disappointment and rejection.

5-Always focus on the positive outcome: Keeping a positive attitude is a must during the times of great changes. The attitude keeps you afloat when things look dark and gloomy. There are going to be negative thoughts going through your mind. It is good to remember that dwelling on the negativity doesn’t help your cause of moving out of it at all.
